Kayunga District Council Approves 54.5 Billion Budget for FY 2025/2026.

Kayunga District Council has officially approved the 2025/2026 FY budget estimates amounting to UGX 54,552,563,000. during a council session at the District Headquarters. 

 

Council has also approved the following documents through which the budget for FY 2025/2026 is going to be implemented;

 

1. Local Revenue Enhancement Plan.

2. Procurement Plan

3. Annual Work Plan.

 

The District Council resolved that the 150million budgeted for the canteen be relocated to construction of pit latrines in Schools under the Education Department.

H.E the President commissioning the Zonal Industrial Hub for Greater Mukono in Kayunga District.

Kayunga District leadership together with Minister of State for Finance Hon lugolobi Amos commissioned classroom blocks in primary schools in kayunga District in a bid to improve service delivery. 

 

The Schools include kisoga RC, Nawandagala RC, Nateeta , kiribeeda , Nyiize , Ssezibwa , Ssekagya Islamic, Kiwooza CU primary Schools.

 

The Headteachers highlighted challenges with lack of staff houses, not enough classrooms,desks, latrines, domitories, water sources, school fence,among others.

The President of Uganda officially commissioned the Mengo Zonal Presidential Industrial Hub at Ssenda village in Nazigo Town council kayunga District. 

The commissioning marked a major step in empowering Uganda 's youths with skilled labor.

 

The Mengo Zonal Presidential Hub is part of 19 industrial hubs across the country under the Presidential initiative of training youths with practical skills. 

 

The hub offers various trainings like welding, tailoring, baking, shoe making, mechanics, carpentry, cosmetology, among others.
