Community Sensitisation Meeting at kyedikyo village.

The District Chairperson, RDC and his Deputy, DISO, principal Assistant CAO, District Councilor and technical staff held a site visit to Kitwe parish and kyedikyo village at kawongo landing site in Galiraaya Subcounty.

 

The visit was intended to:

 

1. Conduct a fact finding on the 200 acres of land that OPM procured in kyedikyo to resettle people displaced by floods.

 

2. Make preparation for development of Physical Development Plan so to enable the settlement process of people displaced by raising waters at kyedikyo village.

 

Hon Minister of State for Primary Health Care presided over the International Self Care Day in Kayunga District.

Kayunga District commemorated the International Self Care Awareness day under the theme "self care for health and well - being."

 

The ceremony was attended by Hon Nsanja Patrick, Ministry of health officials, CAOs, RDCs, LCV Chairpersons from neighboring Districts, Director KRRH, District leaders, political leaders among others.

 

The ceremony was officiated by Hon Minister of State for Primary Health Care Margret Muhangi who highlighted that this day gives opportunity to people to accept self awareness and self management to advance primary health care.

NGO SHED with stakeholders for an entry - level meeting at kayunga District Headquarters

SHED an independent NGO conducted an entry meeting for "Women for Peace" project with stakeholders at the District headquarters.

 

SHED has been active in Uganda since 2020.

It has implemented 26 Projects with 28,198 beneficiaries of whom 72% are women and girls.

 

SHED works to promote

 Peaceful societies through Human rights, justice and development initiatives..
