Kayunga District Elders held a community dialogue on World Elder abuse Awareness Day in kayunga District.
The Chief Guest was the Chairperson National Council for Elderly Persons.
The Elderly Awareness Day was designed to add a voice and condemn the I'll acts to older persons.
Among the key objectives include:
1. Elderly people should be aware of their rights as old people.
2. Reminding them about healthy habits .
A Team from Feast Consultants International ltd held an awareness creation meeting with stakeholders and technical staff at the District headquarters.
The Uganda Communication Commission (UCC)in partnership with the feasts consultants have developed an application called " feasts farm application" in the agricultural sector.
This application is intended to;
1. Captures daily data regarding Management of the farm input, labor, and sales.
2. Provides real time reports to Agro prenuers.
3. Offers advisory services and guides to farm managers.
The Uganda Network on Law, Ethics, and HIV/AIDS (UGANET) held an entry meeting at the District headquarters.
UGANET is an NGO that was established in 1995 to join organizations and individuals interested in advocating and strengthening ethical response to health and HIV in Uganda.
Through TASO, UGANET is implementing the global fund grant in Uganda for a period 2024 - 2026 targeting HIV and TB reduction plans.
It's over all objective is increase access to HIV, malaria,TB and reduce Gender Based Violence through increased legal and social protection.
