The District Election Administrator for Kayunga under Electoral Commission held a talk show at Sauti FM .
The show was intended to inform the Listeners about the electoral roadmap that is underway and to seek for cooperation with voters, stakeholders,local leaders among others. During the election roadmap.
Activities to be carried out during the roadmap.
1. Re organization of polling stations.
2. Merging of polling stations.
3. Splitting polling stations.
4. Renaming of polling stations.
Kayunga District older persons received 425,850,000 Million Shillings under the Social Assistance Grants Empowerment (SAGE) program.
SAGE is a social protection program implemented by the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Gender, labor and Social development.
This program commenced on 5th and will run till 8th August 2024 and will benefit 2839 older persons.
Each member receives 25,000 per month and each will receive 150,000 Shillings for 6 months (January to June).
Annual General meetings (AGM) for kayunga District PDM Saccos is on and will run till 22nd August 2024.
Since PDM inception in 2020/2021, kayunga District has received a total of 147,753,500 billion Shillings disbursed to 71 PDM Saccos.
AGM were intended to evaluate PDM progress, identify gaps that need improvement, review last year's performance and plan ahead.
Issues discussed during the meeting include:
1. New members were admitted to the saccos in accordance to the bylaws.
