The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) under the Directorate of Public health distributed Meat inspection kits to Veterinary inspection staff in lower local governments at the District Headquarters.
The kit includes stamps with serial numbers, meat inspection knives, food grade meat marketing ink, Aprons, hooks and inspection guidelines.
The ceremony was officiated by a team of officials from the MAAIF and technical staff for Kayunga District local government.
Kayunga District Technical staff held a training with a team from the Ministry of Public Service (Human Resource, Planning and Development Department). The purpose of the training was to build capacity of the heads of department on their roles and responsibilities in human Resource Planning.
The Minister of state for Gender, labour and social Development Hon Sarah Mateke officiated the international Day of the African Child in Kayunga District under the theme "Promoting and Protecting Children's rights in the digital era" in memory of the African children who matched to the streets of Soweto in protest of the poor quality of Education.
In attendance were LCV, CAO, RDC, Technical staff and political leaders.
