CONSIGNMENT OF FOUR YAMAHA BOATS BRAND AND FOUR ENGINES TO KAYUNGA DISTRICT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER

The office of the Prime minister has today delivered a consignment of 4 Yamaha boats brand and 4 engines to Kayunga District.

The boats were received by the District Chairman Mr Muwonge Andrew on behalf of the District.

The Chairperson appreciated the efforts from the Rt. Hon Prime minister in fulfilment of her pledge to the people of Kayunga.

Mr Moses on behalf of the office of the Prime minister while handing over the items, told the gathering that a date will be announced by the office of the Rt Hon Prime minister about the official launch of the items.

TECHNICAL COMMISSIONING OF BUSAANA KAYUNGA WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

Today 2nd June 2023 the Ministry of Water and Environment/DWD held a Technical commissioning of Busaana - Kayunga water supply system which was presided over by Commissioner Engineer Twinomujuni John. In this event, The contractor "VAMBECO ENT LTD" handed over the project to the client (MWE) who also handed it over to the Central Umbrella of Water and Sanitation (CUWS) to directly manage water supply system.

BUDGET APPROVAL 2023-24

Kayunga DLG has passed a budget of 49,792,935,000 for the 2023/2024 financial year. The budget was approved in a council session presided over by Hon. Bulinson Saleh the District speaker. The Education department took the lion's share followed by Health and Administration.

Internal Audit, Trade, Industry and local Development took the least share of the budget. The budget will be funded through central Government transfers, local revenue and donor funds among others.
