UBOS E - Channel Literacy Training at the District Headquarters.

Mrs flavia Ouma Kyeyago from Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) held an E channel literacy training with District officials at Kayunga Headquarters. 

Following a successful pilot training in FY 2023/2024 before census 2024, valuable feedback has helped refrain E - dissemination approach.

The training will cover selected Districts in all subregions and in a phased manner between April and June 2025.

The training objectives include;

1. Enhance awareness of UBOS dissemination approach e.g census results 2024.

2. Improve data accessibility utilisation and gain feed back. 

3. To gain hands on experience with UBOS dissemination platforms. 

4. To support informed planning decision making . 

5. Provide a platform for dialogue between UBOS and District officials for better service delivery.

6. Encouraged staff make use of the Ug stats app.

The District officials 

requested for the census data reports for Subcounties, parishes and villages. 

They further appealed to UBOS for data on the literacy and poverty levels for kayunga District. 

Mrs Miriam Basigirenda the statician was assigned as the District focal person for Kayunga center.
