Kayunga District council has approved the upgrading Kayunga District hospital to a regional refferal hospital and also handed it over to the Ministry of Health.
In a council meeting that has been presided over by the District Speaker Hon. Bulinson Saleh, the council has also approved the upgrading of Bbaale H.C.IV to a District hospital to replace Kayunga District hospital.
Kayunga District team bid farewell to its Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Otim Benson Humphrey who was transfered to Kiryandongo District LOcal Government.
He handed over officer to the incoming Chief Administrative Officer Mrs Adong Roseline Luhoni on 30th September 2020 in a colourful function at Kayunga District LOcal Government headquaters council hall.
Kayunga district Local Government has today launched the UGIFT small-scale irrigation program in the district, as part of the government efforts towards improving agricultural productivity through provision of water for irrigation in the district.
Kayunga district is among the 40 districts under the first phase that are piloting this program in the country.
