Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries, enimiro, CRS, Vatex and Makerere University are awarding the best Vanilla growers in Uganda.
Vanilla competition is ongoing in 12 target Districts including Ibanda, Rubiriizi, kasese, kagadi, bundibugyo, kayunga, masaka, kyotera, mukono, buikwe, Mbale and sironko.
The Criteria for the selection include;
1. Ugandan citizen engaging in vanilla growing.
2. Growers must demonstrate good horticulture practices.
Shed an independent and non partisan NGO that is funded by UN Women conducted a 2 days training of CSO Women leaders in conflict prevention and election preparedness at kayunga District Headquarters.
In attendance was Asst RDC, District Education Administrator Shed, cadi team and Doctor William Tayebwa the lead trainer from Makerere University.
The training objectives include ;
1. Appraising the difference between conflict, violence and the importance of conflict mapping in leadership.
Rotary club of kayunga District calls upon the public to join the Charity event ," cancer run" 2024.
This event is aimed at raising funds, creating awareness on the effects of cancer and reduce cancer in the individuals Worldwide.
This event will take place at 9:00am on Sunday 25th August 2024.
Registration fee of 30,000 (which comes with a kit) and the venue is
Kayunga Gombolola ground opposite hotel katikomu.
