Ugift training by the Production Department at the District Headquarters.

The Production Department conducted a training on Ugift micro scale irrigation program with stakeholders at the District Headquarters.

The training objective was to mobilise and create awareness of the current status of the Ugift activities and projects in kayunga District farming community.

A total of 763 farmers
expressed interest in the program and 376 farmers were visited.

The latest program Updates from FY 2020/2021 to 2023/2024 stands as follows:

1. Total amount budgeted for 1,446,984,163.

2. Total amount received 917,447,406.

Grow Project sensitization meeting at the District Headquarters.

Bank Managers held a sensitisation meeting with political and technical team at the District headquarters.

 

The Government of Uganda received financing from the World Bank to generate the grow project. 

 

Grow is a multi million government project funded by the world bank being implemented by the ministry of Gender labor and social development in partnership with PSFU.

 

Grow loans enable individual women entrepreneurs access credit at a substantially reduced interest rate.

 

Meeting with a Team from the Office of the President at the District Headquarters.

A team from the office of the President held a dialogue with Heads of department at the District headquarters.

 

The team was conducting a monitoring exercise on implemention of the National Policy that is domiciled in the Ministry 

Of Finance Planning and Economic Development.

 

 A number of policies have been developed and being implemented as a means of addressing public issues and improving lives of citizens.

 

 The policies broadly covers Health, Education, Water and Environment .
