MUWRP inception meeting at the District Headquarters.

Officials from Makerere University Water Reed Project (MUWRP)held an inception meeting on School Health Program with Inspectors of schools,
Health facility workers, political and technical staff at the District headquarters.

MUWRP is an NGO operating in the District which supports people living with HIV.

According to the National HIV and Aids strategic plan, Uganda has 1.6 million people living with HIV/AIDS and out of these 176,948 are children and
3% are adolescents.

Chairperson National Women's Council and CAO Kayunga sharing a moment at the District Headquarters.

The National Chairperson Women Council Hajjat Farida kibowa held a Women Council meeting at the District headquarters.

She advised women to embrace government programs like PDM since
" empowering a mother is empowering a nation".

She urged Mrs Magezi to incorporate women into Buganda kingdom programs.

She encourage women to participate in election such that their voices are heard but discouraged election wrangles.

CAO appreciated women activists in lower local governments and further expressed his disappointment on poor recovery of UWEP funds.

Ugift training by the Production Department at the District Headquarters.

The Production Department conducted a training on Ugift micro scale irrigation program with stakeholders at the District Headquarters.

The training objective was to mobilise and create awareness of the current status of the Ugift activities and projects in kayunga District farming community.

A total of 763 farmers
expressed interest in the program and 376 farmers were visited.

The latest program Updates from FY 2020/2021 to 2023/2024 stands as follows:

1. Total amount budgeted for 1,446,984,163.

2. Total amount received 917,447,406.
