Kayunga District production staff conducted an awareness training of Local leaders at the district headquarters.
The training was aimed at reviewing the current status of the Ugift micro scale irrigation activities and projects to enable local leaders to mobilise and create awareness amongst the farming communities.
The DCAO Mr. Kagaba Richard Ndorwa commended the Government for extending irrigation support to farmers, noting that this initiative will year round production and improve household incomes.
The standing committee on works and technical services led by the secretary Mrs Nansamba Milly and technical officials conducted monitoring outreach on roads currently under construction in kayunga, Busaana, and Nazigo subcounties.
The purpose of this outreach was to ensure accountability, speed up construction, and guarantee high quality road infrastructure in Kayunga Districk.
The monitored include;
1. Kisoga - Suuka (2.5 KM) Road.
2. Bunyumya - Njalabiresse - Magala (3.7 KM) Road.
3. Busaana - Namirembe - Bisaka (10.5 KM) Road.
