Community Sensitisation Meeting at kyiteredde Lugudho in Kayunga Subcounty.

Kayunga District Stakeholders conducted a community Sensitisation meetings in Busaana and kayunga Subcounties marking a bold and transformative step towards accelerated service delivery and accountable leadership. 

The team was led by the DRDC, Mr. Magezi John, the District chairperson Mr. Muwonge Andrew and other political leaders, technical team and community members.

The launched roads include Busaana - Namirembe - Bisaka (10.5KM) costing 105 Million Shillings and Kanjuki - Busaale - Nongo (10.2KM) costing 102 Million Shillings.

The project is being funded under the 1 billion district road grant for maintenance and rehabilitation as approved by Parliament.

The Scope of works will include bush clearing, swamp improvement, grading and compaction, installation of new culvert lines, spot gravelling and drainage works.

The roads will provide a vital link between neighbouring Subcounties easing transport and boosting local economic activities.

The DRDC who represented the RDC warned LC I Chairpersons for signing multiple sale agreements for the same piece of land.

"Sand mining and farming in wetlands must stop immediately" Said the DRDC.

He promised to take action on those violating the law. 

The District chairperson thanked the President for the road funds that have ripped positive results.

He appreciated the residents for the overwhelming support during elections and pledged his commitment to serving them.
